Now and again, we human beings experience difficult times emanating from different sources, such as ill-health, deprivation, disappointment, marriage breakup, loneliness, job loss, business collapse, and addiction. And more often than not, they drain us physically, mentally, and spiritually, and make our lives very difficult and uninteresting. Moreover, they can kill us, if we are not careful.

Difficult times are also known as times of trial, tribulation, pain, trouble and hardship, among others. No one is immune against them (John 16:33a), and they afflict people irrespective of their social standing. They afflict the rulers, the rich, the known, the educated etc., the same way they afflict the ruled, the poor, the unknown, the uneducated, etc. But, they are always temporary by nature (2 Corinthians 4:17), and God intentionally permits them, because He knows we will profit from them sooner or later (Romans 5:3-4).

God allowed Satan to subject Job to great difficulties at a point in his life. At that time, he did not get angry with Him, or forsake Him. Instead, he displayed a dignified attitude towards God throughout. He loved Him, trusted Him, and even spoke well of Him (Job 19:25). Eventually, he profited from his difficulties, because the Lord blessed his latter days more that his beginning, and allowed him to die old (Job 42: 10, 12-13, 16-17).

Like Job, you too can profit from your difficult times, but you must be prepared to display a dignified attitude towards God throughout. You must not get angry with Him, or forsake Him at any time. Remember that difficult times are meant for our own good anyway (Romans 8:28). For that reason, please keep loving God, keep trusting Him, and keep speaking well of Him. Besides, keep doing good and you will witness seasons of refreshing, promotion, abundance, fulfilment, peace and joy in your life before long, in Jesus name. Amen.

Friend, be expecting sound health to replace your present state of health, overabundance to replace the deprivation in your life, and restoration to replace the degeneration in your marriage. A God fearing spouse is en route to end your loneliness and frustration. Very soon, you will experience success in your education, promotion in your work, profit in your business and growth in your ministry. Addiction will depart from you, and all your fears will be replaced by power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7), in Jesus name. Amen.

Lastly, remember that God allowed Joseph to experience difficult times so that he could help his race in later years. In the same vein, He has allowed you to experience difficult times at this point, so that you can help some people in future. Therefore, use your experiences to help them become born again, get well, overcome their fears, restore their marriages, fix their businesses, end their loneliness, stop their addiction, etc. If you do all these devotedly, God will reward you generously (Galatians 6:9) in return, in Jesus name.  Amen.
