Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. 2.  I will make you a great nation; I will bless you…And you shall be a blessing’’ (Genesis 12:1-2).

I used to work in Akure, Nigeria, my home town, in the early part of my career. Initially, things went very well for me and my family there, but the situation soon changed, and we encountered myriads of difficulties afterwards, which made me seek help from people, especially those I thought could help us, but they ignored me. Some of them even denigrated me, and that was quite painful. It was as if God shut the door on us!

While sleeping one night, I dreamt I was addressing a congregation. I was all over the place, jumping from one part of the auditorium to another, screaming myself hoarse, panting and sweating profusely. Sadly, no one took any notice of me, and after some time, I became annoyed and decided to abandon the congregants. Suddenly, I heard a voice from behind, urging me to leave Akure because my time there was over. It also advised me to relocate to Benin-City, Nigeria, where I would be heard, appreciated and blessed.

Meanwhile, Benin-City, though bigger and more prosperous than ours, was not a popular destination among our people. A lot of them believed it is a violent, fetish, and sinful city, which should be avoided at all cost. But my wife and I thought otherwise. So, we sought guidance from our spiritual parents, to clarify issues and lay every concern to rest.

After we had fasted and prayed one day, they cleared us in the spirit and encouraged us to relocate to Benin-City, as I was advised in my dream. They also affirmed that we would be heard, appreciated and blessed there. Not only that, they prophesied that the City would pave the way for us to travel abroad, without stress. We left Akure and move to Benin-City shortly afterwards, not minding the negative remarks from various quarters.

Please, let me quickly state here that it wasn’t all gloom and doom for us at Akure because we enjoyed some good moments and relationships there too. A lot of people freely gave us their time, love, commitment, words of encouragement, best wishes, and prayers, etc., each time. And for these, we are most grateful. May the good Lord reward them richly, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Indeed, God blessed us abundantly in Benin-City. It was there that I became a functioning speaker. I spoke in numerous gatherings to different categories of people, and they listened to me. And with my sister-in-law, Temi Obasohan, my wife and I ran a televangelism ministry, WORD ALIVE, through which we reached millions of people every week, won several souls for Christ and motivated a lot of young people to do good and honour God. We also used our ministry to discover and bring into the limelight many hidden talents; singers, dancers, instrumentalists, actors/actresses, speakers, etc., that are doing great today to the glory of God.

On a personal note, I learnt new skills in Benin-City. One of them is typing, which I have used to write countless of medical and non-medical articles, books, theses, lecture notes, proposals, poems, orations, tributes, etc., all by myself. Besides, I learnt graphic design there, and today, I have several good designs to my credit. As if all above were not enough, my communication skill got a significant boost in that great City.

Professionally, my wife and I did very well too. For example, my colleagues and I treated and brought thousands of people back to good health. Also, I furthered my training in Medicine, studied computer appreciation, word processing, spreadsheet appreciation, etc. Additionally, I honed my skill in TV presentation and directing. All these I would never have done in Akure because of massive distractions and a shortage of opportunities there.

My wife and I also met and closely interacted with numerous good people that loved and stood by us, through thick and thin. The icing on our cake was that we met and enjoyed an excellent personal relationship, unwavering love, and unfettered spiritual guidance from the legendary Arch-Bishop Benson Idahosa, our dear father in the Lord of blessed memory, and his beautiful wife. I say big thank you to all these good people.

Finally, it was the Benin-City route that paved the way for us to relocate to the UK, without stress. And now, we are using the talents God gave us along the way to honour Him and do well for ourselves and humanity. I give Him praise!

Friend, my wife and I obeyed God by moving out of Akure, our home town and comfort zone, where we were, to Benin-City, where He wanted us to be, and He blessed us immensely in return, and we became channels of blessings to others (Genesis 12: 1-2). Today, I encourage you to do the same thing, and God will bless you as well.

Therefore, is God asking you to change your location for another one, or change your job for a new one? Is He asking you to acquire a new skill, start a new business, write a book, compose a song, or produce a movie? Is He asking you to end a relationship and start a new one with someone else? Etc. If He is, please obey Him, because He wants you to move from where you are now, to where He wants you to be.

If you obey Him, you will have rest (Matthew 11:28), victory (Deuteronomy 20:4), joy (Isaiah 35:10), peace (Psalm 29:11), promotion (Psalm 75:6-7 (KJV)), fresh ideas/creativity (1 Kings 3:12), etc. Moreover, your trials will be taken care of (1 Corinthians 10:13), and your broken heart will be healed (Psalm 147:3).

Furthermore, you will prosper, for that is the wish of God for you anyway (3 John 2), and your children will become mighty and blessed in your land (Psalm 112:2 (NIV)). Other mind-boggling things will happen to you also (1 Corinthians 2:9), and the name of the Lord shall be exalted in your life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

My mother was ill, and in and out of the hospital during most of year 2008, and early 2009, and her condition really sapped us to the hilt.  Early one morning, I got a phone call from home (Nigeria) that she was ‘about to die’.  Unfortunately, I couldn’t join other members of our family to witness her ‘final moments on earth’ and ‘bid her farewell’.

And to compound my problem, I couldn’t send enough money home to assist in taking care of her, and that really pained me.  All I could do was to pray, albeit incoherently, babbling on and on most of the time. While praying one afternoon, I was prompted in the Spirit to be specific with God if I wanted Him to answer my prayer (Matthew 6:7 NIV).

Instantly, I said “Lord, heal my mum, and free her from further hospital admissions”. I was also prompted in the Spirit to pray for her via telephone, and I did, with the help of Dr. Abiodun Olusola on the other side in Nigeria. Other people prayed too, and she bounced back to life fully in the end. She has enjoyed reasonable health, and had no hospital admission since then. She will be 88 years old on the 14th of this month (April 2017). I was specific with God, and He answered my prayer!

Many people in the Bible were specific with God like I did, and He answered them. A good example was Blind Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46-52), and Jesus gave him his sight. Jabez was specific with Him as well (1 Chronicles 4:10), and He blessed him beyond measure. Ditto Hannah (1 Samuel 1:11), and He gave her Samuel, a top Prophet. Etc. You too should be specific with Him, and your prayers will be answered.

Please remember “You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss…”  (James 4:3).  So, if your health is poor at present, pray to God about it, be specific too, and He will heal you (Jeremiah 30:17).  And if your work is not doing well lately, pray to Him about it, be specific also, and He will fix it because He is interested in your prosperity (Psalm 35:27).

Are you addicted to certain things, and you cannot break away from them? If you are, then pray to God about them right now, be specific as well, and He will deliver you, deal with your enemies, and save your children on top (Isaiah 49:24-25).

Please pray to God regarding all your worries today; be specific about them, and He will handle them one by one through Jesus Christ (John 14:6).  That is why you must accept Him (Jesus Christ) into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour.  That is, you must be born again.

Friends, are you born again? if you are, well done! But if you are not, kindly, confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9); i.e., you will become born again. It is after doing this that you can confidently ask God for anything, and He will do it, in Jesus’ name (John 16:23). Amen.

Gideon, an Israelite, was a mighty man of valour (Judges 6:12). At a point in his life, he went to war against the Midianites with only 300 warriors, at the prompting of the Lord. Before long, he and his men crossed the Jordan River, “though exhausted, they continued to chase the enemy” (Judges 8: 4 (NLT)).

In the end, God gave them victory over their enemies as He promised earlier (Judges 7:7). That is, they defeated the Midianites, routed their warriors, and captured their kings (Judges 8:10-12). Gideon later became very popular among his people, and his family was favoured in Israel. He later died at a good old age, and was buried in the tomb of his father (Judges 8:32); a notable achievement at that time.

Like the Israelites, all of us have one enemy or other that we struggle with. They include human beings like ourselves, and situations of life such as an illness, lack, unemployment, childlessness, etc.  They are very stubborn, powerful, brutal, and restrictive in nature, and they make living very difficult, exhausting, and unexciting.  It is, therefore, our responsibility to chase them, catch up with them, and destroy them with all our might.

Friend, who is your enemy at this point in time? Is he or she a human being like yourself? If your answer is yes, then don’t get exhausted; on the other hand, chase him or her vigorously, and he or she will fall before you shortly (Leviticus 26:7), in Jesus name. Amen.

And if your enemy is an illness, again don’t get exhausted, chase it ceaselessly till you overcome it. And you will at some point because healing is your birth right (Matthew 15:22-29). Is your enemy an addiction? If it is, please don’t get exhausted; chase it, and God will give you a way of escape from it someday (1 Corinthians 10:13), in Jesus name. Amen.

Perhaps lack is your own enemy; then, don’t get exhausted; chase it strongly, and you will overcome it because God is interested in your prosperity above all things (3 John 2 (KJV). Is your enemy childlessness? If it is, then don’t get exhausted; chase it diligently till you have your own children.  And I know you will have them one day; because children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3). Hallelujah!

Friend, please be reminded that you cannot possibly chase and overcome your enemies successfully on your own (John 15:5). You sure need God to help you out (Isaiah 41:10), through Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

So, why don’t you accept Him (Jesus Christ) into your life, and make Him your personal Lord and Saviour today, if you haven’t up till now? It is after settling this simple but vital task that you can confidently heed His voice asking you to come to Him with all your worries (plus your enemies (Matthew 11:28).  And the good news is He will not cast you out (John 6:37); instead, He will give you total freedom from them (John 8:36). Amen.

Today, I recall with permission, the story of Tommy (not his real name because he wants to remain anonymous) who was prompted in the Spirit to make a specific move at a crucial point in his life. He did, and got extraordinary results afterwards.

Tommy moved abroad at the invitation of his friend to further his career. And, before he left his country, his friend promised to support him in all possible ways, and he believed. Thus, he resigned from his job, sold his belongings to raise some money, and jetted out.

Initially, Tommy’s friend was very nice to him, but, he changed quickly, and made life unbearable for him. At some point, he (Tommy) wanted to return home, but, to what? He asked himself repeatedly. In the end, he kept his cool, studied very hard, and passed his examinations, only to find out that he couldn’t find a job in that country, and he became really frustrated.

One day, as he was pondering over his ordeals, especially as his host was about to kick him out, he was prompted in the Spirit to move out and fend for himself. That looked like an unwise thing to do, since he had no place to move to, or any person to turn to anyway.  But, he was assured in the Spirit that God would support him to the hilt if he obeyed, and he did.

By faith, Tommy approached an estate agent for a flat, even though he had no money to pay the rent yet. Then, on the day he was asked to pay a deposit and collect the keys into his would be flat, the Lord showed Himself mighty in his life. First, he got a sudden call that he had landed a job, which he had lost all hopes of ever getting. Then, his brother paid a decent amount of money into his bank account just around that time.

So, he went to the estate agent with confidence, paid the required deposit, went to his friend’s house, thanked him, collected his belongings, and moved out into his own flat; in other words, he moved into total freedom and a new beginning. Today, Tommy is doing well with his family. Truly, God supported him to the hilt!

Several people in the bible were divinely prompted to move out of their comfort zones when it seemed unwise to do so. For instance, Abraham, was told to move to an alien country at an old age (Genesis 12:1). Noah was told to build an ark (Genesis 6:14). Nehemiah asked to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 2:4). Paul went for lost souls all over at huge risk to his life (Acts 21:10-14). Etc. In all these instances, God showed Himself mighty in the lives of those involved, because they obeyed Him. He’ll show himself mighty in yours too, if you obey Him.

Friend, what is God asking you to do today? Is He asking you to change your location so that your situation can change? Is He asking you to change your job or career? Is He asking you to start a business? Is He asking you to enroll for an examination? Is He asking you to write a book? Is He asking you to produce a film? Is He asking you to get married and start your own family? Is He asking you to serve Him in any specific capacity? Etc. If He is, then you need to obey Him right away.  So, what are you waiting for? Please make the move, right now!

Last but not least, let me inform you that God will not leave or forsake you as you obey Him (Deuteronomy 31:6); He will help you all the way through (Isaiah 41:10), and then bless you on top (Deuteronomy 28:1-14), in Jesus name. Amen.

Somebody I know got promoted recently.  But, before he did, he was stuck in the same position for several years.  His salary soon became grossly inadequate to cater for his personal, and family’s needs.  And to worsen his problems, there was no job opportunity for him in his locality, and he couldn’t relocate to another, because of some family exigencies.  I am therefore not surprised that he lagged behind in some vital areas of life.

Out of frustration one day, he made up his mind to look for work elsewhere no matter what.  But, he was warned in the Spirit to stop, as the consequences of his action could ruin him.  However, he was assured that his time would come someday if he is patient enough. With this assurance firmly etched on his mind, he began to appreciate his situation, keep his cool, keep doing good, and keep trusting God.

At some point, his employer recruited somebody to occupy the position he had been angling for all the while. As if that was not enough, he was also instructed to mentor the new employee, and ensure she settled down on time.  To some of his friends, that was a direct slap on his face, and they urged him to frustrate her.  But, he said no, instead, he assisted and encouraged her the best way he could.

In next to no time, the new employee resigned her appointment for family reasons, and her position became vacant and up for grabs.   At that time, some of his colleagues implored him to apply for the position because they believe his time has come!  So, he applied for it, and he was shortlisted for an interview.  Other applicants were shortlisted too!

He arrived at the venue of the interview on time to review his strategies, and pray.  As he was about to go in for it, Exodus 4:12 popped up in his mind.  It says: “Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say”. By this passage, he knew God was at work on his behalf!  The interview went on very well, and he netted the job.  Now, he can take care of his family, pay his bills, and help humanity better than before to the glory of God.

Friend, I am presenting this same God to you once again today. He loves you so much (John 3:16), and He wants to help you (Isaiah 41:10).  Moreover, He wants to make you comfortable at all costs (Isaiah 45:2-3). Please, remember He can do all you can ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).  Friend, your time has come!

If you are jobless, He will give you a good job if you take delight in Him (Psalm 37:4); your time has come! Your poor health is receiving divine attention right now (Jeremiah 30:17); your time has come! Are you single and lonely, and do you wish to get married? If you do, then rejoice, for God will give you your better half before long (Psalm 84:11); your time has come!

Are your children behaving badly these days? If they are, just hold your peace because God will save them (Isaiah 49:25); your time has come! Are you bereaved? If you are, please wipe away your tears for joy is on the horizon (Psalm 30:5); your time has come! Is your land riddled with sin, and is it very harsh lately? If it is, simply join others to pray, and God will heal it at the end of the day (2 Chronicles 7:14); your time has come!

Friend, please continue to pray fervently to God concerning your situation, put your trust in Him too; He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6), and do everything possible to settle all your needs (Isaiah45:2, Isaiah 43:19), in Jesus name.  Amen.

Life was very hard for most honest Nigerians in the early 1990’s, because of the irresponsible way the most hated, evil, and ruinous military junta in government at that time, mismanaged our national life and resources. We were not exempted!

After a while, my wife and I appraised the situation on ground very carefully, and we sought help from those we felt could help us. Regrettably, none of them did! Therefore, we sought help from God instead; something we should have done initially, and He answered us in a revelation through our father in the Lord, a man filled to the brim with the power of the Holy Spirit, Deacon Ayo Ademilua; father of Ayodeji, Morenike, and Oluwaseun.

The man of God told us that in addition to our professional callings, God wanted us to go into the business of buying and selling patent medicines; a venture I had earlier deterred my wife from embracing, since she had no prior training in it. But, I changed my mind when God came into the picture.

We started our business the following week with about £120, and within six months, it blossomed greatly, and our capital rose to over £2,500. Now, assuming we left our £120 in a bank account for six months, without touching it, it is doubtful if it would have yielded up to £50 as interest. But, because we obeyed God, we made a profit of over £2,380; about four times our then annual salaries combined together. With this money in hand, we were able to assist several people, and our business soon became the reference point in our area to the glory of God.

I later gave a testimony attesting to the goodness of God in our lives during one of our all-night prayer meetings; we never knew God hadn’t finished with us yet! As I was narrating our story, another revelation came forth, in which our father in the Lord said God wanted us to diversify into the poultry and rabbitry businesses, so that He could bless us even more. This time around, we did not think twice before we plunged head-on into them.

Within four months, we had well over two hundred and fifty hefty, and very healthy rabbits in our cages (we started with only three rabbits, two females and one male). Our birds did very well too, and we made a huge profit by the time we culled and sold them. As a result, we had the liberty to clear all our debts, pay our bills, and settle our financial obligations to humanity and God. We used the remainder to relocate to Benin-City, Nigeria, where God blessed us further, and made us a channel of blessings to a lot of people.

Hey friends, did you struggle in any areas of your life in 2015, and did it seem help was unavailable? If you did, then relax, for God is set to help you (Isaiah 41:10), no matter how hard your situation is and laughable the options before you are, if you obey Him. Remember He told us to sell patent medicines and rear animals (laughable ordinary ventures), even though I am a Medical Doctor by training, and my wife a Statistician. But, we obeyed Him, and He blessed us extraordinarily in return. Likewise, He will turn all your ‘ordinaries’ into ‘extra-ordinaries’ this year, in Jesus name. Amen. But, you must be prepared to obey Him!

Friends, as you go on with year 2016, may the good Lord reveal Himself to you anew (Jeremiah 29:13), and direct your paths (Isaiah 30:21). May He also take delight in you (Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV)), and make you flourish in every area of your life, all the time (Psalm 92:13-14). No temptation shall overcome you (1 Corinthians 10:13), and your going out and coming in shall be blessed (Deuteronomy 28:6). The Lord will withhold no good thing from you (Psalm 84:11), and His name shall be glorified in your life throughout, in Jesus name. Amen.

I used to work and live in a town located in the potentially prosperous, but, criminally neglected oil and gas producing Niger Delta region of Nigeria. One of the things I first noticed when I got there, was its disturbing high rate of crime. At a time, almost everyone I knew there, had been robbed at least once, and all of them had very frightening tales to tell.

The general consensus then, was that we would be robbed someday too. But, no one knew when and how it would happen. Eventually, a gang of about ten (10) fully armed, fierce looking, marijuana smoking, and very noisy robbers, invaded our compound around 1.30am one day. Definitely, they came to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

All we could do on sighting the gangsters, was to say a short prayer! But, before we did, I remembered Jesus Christ (John 11:1-44), Daniel (Daniel 6:1-28), and Jonah (Jonah 1-2) in quick succession. I remembered before God did great miracles through them, they gave thanks to Him first.

Straight away, I believed God wanted us to demonstrate our trust in Him, in prayer and thanksgiving. So, I held my wife’s hands, and prayed thus: “Father, we thank you for each time we call on you, you answer us. Please, deliver us from these armed robbers, and let this siege end right now, in Jesus name. Amen.

After saying the prayer above, we held our peace, and trusted God to save us. I even toyed with the idea of taking a nap at some point.

Before long, one of the armed robbers spoke in a subdued, but, clear and determined voice that he was no longer interested in the robbery operation, because according to him, he could sense a powerful force around our house, which he was not ready to confront. Please, remember we are talking about very dangerous criminals who were high on drugs here!

Some members of the gang soon backed him, and an argument erupted among them. Suddenly, they fled our compound in disarray, leaving their leader behind. Eventually, he (i.e. their leader), took a hard, but, disappointing look at our house, shook his head, jumped over our fence, and melted into the darkness.

And instantly, Acts 2:21 zoomed into my mind. It says: “And it shall come to pass, that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” The hasty retreat of the armed robbers from our compound, also brought Deuteronomy 28:7 to life in my mind. It says: “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

My wife and I trusted God; we called on His name, and He saved us from those dangerous armed robbers. This same God is interested in saving you today as well (Isaiah 35:4). Without a shred of doubt, you are safe under Him!

Your life is safe under Him (Psalm 91:11-15), your children are safe under Him (Isaiah 49:25), your household is safe under Him (Acts 16:31), your health is safe under Him (Isaiah 58:8), your business is safe under Him (Deuteronomy 28:12), your reputation is safe under Him (Isaiah 61:7), your land is safe under Him (Deuteronomy 11:10-12), etc.

Guess what? Your dream of attaining Heaven is even safe under Him. But, you must give your life to Christ to begin with. That is, you must be born again! It is when this is settled, that you stand the best chance of attaining Heaven; the Kingdom of God (John 3:3).

Friend, are you born again? Congratulations, if you are! But, if you are not, then, this is a good opportunity for you to do so. Please give your life to Jesus Christ today, and it shall be well with you, in Jesus name. Amen.
